Objectives & Expected Level Of Play By Grade
K - 2nd grade
The Kindergarten to 2nd Grade Program will be playing in a non competitive league purely for the introduction of lacrosse to the younger player. There will be no post season playoffs or championships and therefore wins and losses will not be formally counted. League games run between March and May on the weekends.
3rd - 5th Grade
The 3rd - 5th graders will have the opportunity to travel and play in a variety of tournaments. The focus of this program is to teach the players the basic skills and fundamentals of girls' lacrosse. Players will share playing time and play all positions on the field. There is one - two practices a week and occasional games (sometimes back to back or during the week). There are not as many opponents at this age level but we will schedule games as often as we can. League games begin in March and run through May.
6th - 8th Grade
The oldest group is primarily comprised of 6th - 8th graders in a competitive environment. The focus of this program is to teach the players the basic skills, fundamentals and sportsmanship of girls' lacrosse. Players will share and earn playing time and will begin to focus on positions that they enjoy playing best. There practices and league games (sometimes back to back) on the weekend. League games begin in March and run through May.
